The truth about the nutrition of chicken wings

I bet when you're eating a nice, tender and saucy chicken wing you're not thinking about how it was made in the factories. If you knew more about the nutritional stats of chicken wings you would definitely think twice before ordering them. In just one small chicken wing alone, there is 81 calories. Keeping in mind you don't just eat chicken wings single. On an average serving, you would receive about 15 chicken wings. 81 calories multiply by the 15 you received and that's 1,215 calories for just one portion of chicken wings. The minimum calorie intake a day for women is 1,200 calories for men it's 1,800 calories. Within a healthy, balanced diet, a man needs around 2500 calories a day and for a woman, that figure is around 2,000 calories a day. It's not the chicken itself, but the stuff you put on it. Naked chicken wings are usually fried which adds a lot to the fat and calorie content. You are getting protein from the chicken wings but the skin is very bad for you, even if its fried or not because the fat is under the skin of chicken. However, there are other options to making healthier recipes for chicken wings. I think its safe to say that chicken wings aren't the healthiest and should be avoided. They do taste real good though.
